JESS DADDS

Jess Dadds is a filmmaker from South East England.

Jess’ latest short film “I am good at karate” was awarded a Special Mention at Encounters Film Festival due to how the film “explores the complex intersections of class, mental health and coming of age, with a strong self-assured visual style”. The film also screened at various other BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying film festivals, such as Oberhausen, Montreal Du Nouveau Cinéma and LSFF.

Jess is currently developing his first feature project, supported by BFI.

02 TRUE LOVEA group of teenagers fall desperately in love with the same person. As their attempts to impress their crush and one-up each other get more and more dramatic, conflict is inevitable.

True Love was selected to screen in competition at the 71st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. The film was also chosen to play online / VOD via online streaming platform NoBudge.
